Transaction in Own Shares

Sports Direct announces that on 02 August 2016 it purchased 234,052 of its ordinary shares from Citigroup Global Markets Limited (acting as the Company's broker) at a price of 281.8 pence per share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 43,152,267 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 597,450,102.
