Diageo PLC22 June 2006 Diageo plc announces that it has today purchased through Credit SuisseSecurities (Europe) Limited 800,000 ordinary shares at a price of 912.45 penceper share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares. Following the above purchase, Diageo plc holds 249,453,880 ordinary shares astreasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding sharesheld as treasury shares) is 2,801,526,365.
