Halfords Group PLC05 March 2007 HALFORDS GROUP PLC: PURCHASE OF OWN SHARES Halfords Group PLC ("the Company") announces that on 5 March 2007 it purchasedfor cancellation 125,000 of its ordinary shares at a price of 358.0p perordinary share. Following the above purchase, the Company have now bought back 8,458,956 sharesfor cancellation, since the 8 June when the buy back programme commenced. In addition the following amendment has been made to the Transaction in OwnShares announcement released on 2 March 2007 under RNS No 2793S. Correction - The date of purchase for the shares should have read 2 March 2007not 1 March 2007. All other details remain unchanged. The full amended text is shown below.
