Transaction in Own Shares

Centaur Media plc announces that on 8 October 2008 it purchased 1,351,467 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company at a price of 52 pence per share. These shares will be held in Treasury.

Following the purchase, the Company holds 9,326,467 of its ordinary shares in Treasury and has a total of 140,881,493 ordinary shares (excluding shares held in Treasury) in issue.
