AstraZeneca PLC26 October 2006 REPURCHASE OF SHARES IN ASTRAZENECA PLC Further to the announcement of its close period share repurchase programme,AstraZeneca PLC announced that under the terms of that programme it purchasedfor cancellation 375,299 ordinary shares of AstraZeneca PLC at a price of 3501pence per share on 25 October 2006. Upon the cancellation of these shares, thenumber of shares in issue will be 1,544,379,921.
