Share repurchase announcement
RIT Capital Partners plc (the 'Company') announces the following information relating to a share repurchase, pursuant to Listing Rule 12.4.6R and Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.5.1R:
1. Date of purchase: 11 March 2009
2. No. of equity shares purchased: 1,520
3. Purchase Price: 760p per ordinary share
4a. No. of equity shares purchased
for cancellation 1,520
4b. No. of equity shares purchased
to be held as treasury shares: NIL
The above purchase was made in accordance with the shareholders' authority granted at the Company's Annual General Meeting held on 17 July 2008.
The Company does not hold any of its own shares in treasury.
The issued share capital of the Company following the cancellation of the shares purchased will comprise 154,491,062 ordinary shares of £1 each.
