Old Mutual PLC26 November 2007 Old Mutual plc Ref 89/07 26 November 2007 Transaction in Own Shares Old Mutual plc ("the Company") announces that on 23 November 2007 it purchasedthrough Merrill Lynch International and Merrill Lynch South Africa (Pty) Limiteda total of 1,838,961 of the Company's ordinary shares of 10p each. 1,400,000 of these shares were acquired on the London Stock Exchange at anaverage price of 159.19 pence per share and 438,961 shares were acquired on theJSE Limited at an average price of ZAR 22.36 per share. The purchased shares will be held in treasury. The Company's current issuedshare capital is now 5,449,366,676 ordinary shares of 10p each (excluding the60,299,534 shares that have so far been repurchased into treasury).
