Imperial Tobacco has today, 3 March 2014, purchased 70,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 2420.55 pence per ordinary share. The highest price paid was 2431 pence per ordinary share and the lowest 2406 pence per ordinary share.

The purchased shares will all be held in treasury.

Following the above purchase, Imperial Tobacco holds 105,233,871 ordinary shares in treasury.

The total number of ordinary shares in issue, excluding ordinary shares held in treasury, is 962,709,010.
