Beazley Group PLC21 April 2008 Press Release Beazley Group PLC 21st April 2008 Transaction in own shares Beazley Group PLC ("the Company") announces that in accordance with paragraph12.4.6R of the Listing Rules and paragraph 5.5.1R of the Disclosure andTransparency Rules it has purchased 480,000 Ordinary Shares of 5p each at anaverage price of 150.00 pence per share. The highest price and lowest price paid for these shares were 150.00 pence and150.00 pence respectively. All the purchased shares will be held as Treasuryshares. Following the above purchase, the Company holds 10,488,302 Ordinary Shares inTreasury. The number of Ordinary Shares purchased represents 2.85% of the votingrights attributable to the total Ordinary Shares in issue prior to suchpurchases. The Company has 357,653,605 Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasuryshares). The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for thecalculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify theirinterest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Disclosureand Transparency Rules.
