Chemring Group PLC (the "Company") - Transaction in Own Shares
On 23rd March 2009, a total of 115,170 ordinary shares of 5p each were issued from Treasury into the Chemring Group Performance Share Plan in satisfaction of the vesting of conditional awards made on 23rd March 2006.
On the same date, the Company purchased a total of 58,301 ordinary shares of 5p each on the London Stock Exchange via Investec Investment Banking at 2084 pence per share.
The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. Following the above transactions, the Company holds a total of 263,131 ordinary shares as treasury shares and has a total of 35,272,568 ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held in Treasury).
