Man Group plc announces that on 10 February 2012 it purchased for cancellation 399,447 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 129.8284 pence per ordinary share.

Following this cancellation the total number of ordinary shares in issue will be 1,820,090,393. The Company does not hold any shares in Treasury.
