Imperial Tobacco has today, 26 February 2014, purchased 80,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 2434.03 pence per ordinary share. The highest price paid was 2401 pence per ordinary share and the lowest 2446 pence per ordinary share.

The purchased shares will all be held in treasury.

Following the above purchase, Imperial Tobacco holds 105,008,871 ordinary shares in treasury.

The total number of ordinary shares in issue, excluding ordinary shares held in treasury, is 962,934,010.
