The purchased shares will be held as treasuryshares. Following the above purchase and release, Unilever NV together with subsidiarycompanies, holds 20,751,898 Unilever NV ordinary shares in treasury, and has550,824,002 Unilever NV ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares). Unilever PLC announces that on 19 October 2005, it purchased 600,000 UnileverPLC ordinary shares at prices between 564.50 pence and 573.00 pence per share.The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares.
