Transaction in Own Shares

The Company announces that on 12 May 2009, pursuant to the general authority granted by shareholders of the Company on 29 August 2008 to make market purchases of its own ordinary shares of 50p each ("Ordinary Shares"), it purchased for cancellation 25,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of 136.5p per Ordinary Share. Following the purchase and cancellation, the Company's issued share capital now consists of 23,751,647 Ordinary Shares with voting rights.
Therefore, the above figure of 23,751,647 Ordinary Shares may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
