Inchcape PLC18 May 2005 . 18 May 2005 Inchcape plc Share re-purchase programme Inchcape plc ("the Company") announces that on 17 May 2005 it purchased 100,000ordinary shares of 150p each. The price paid was 1790p. The Company intends to hold these shares in treasury. Since the Company started buying back shares on 15 April 2005 it has acquired1,445,901 ordinary shares. Following the purchase of these shares, the Companyholds 1,445,901 of its shares in treasury and has 78,276,031 shares in issue(excluding treasury shares).
