Enterprise Inns PLC11 December 2006 Enterprise Inns plc - Transaction in Own Shares - amended announcement With reference to the announcement made on 7 December 2006 at 18:00 under RNSNumber 4945N the total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares heldin treasury) was 298,514,681 and not 291,963,825 as previously stated. The fullamended text is as follows: 07 December 2006 Enterprise Inns plc - Transaction in Own Shares Enterprise Inns plc announces that it has today purchased for cancellation275,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 1297.8353 pence perordinary share. The highest price paid was 1299 pence per share and the lowestprice paid was 1295 pence per share. Following the above purchase the total number of ordinary shares in issue(excluding shares held in treasury) is 298,514,681. Of these 6,550,856 sharesare held by Employee Trusts and are discounted for earnings per sharecalculation purposes. In addition to the above 25,000,000 ordinary shares are held as treasury sharesand are also discounted for earnings per share calculation purposes.
