Environmental Recycling Technologies Plc (AIM:ENRT) announces that it has requested suspension of its shares from dealings on AIM pending clarification of its trading and financial position.

Since the decision not to proceed with the most recent strategic discussions, as announced on May 18 2016, the Board has subsequently received several business propositions which the directors are evaluating with a view to securing the long term future of the Company.

However, following the announcement there has been an unusually high volume of shares traded in the Company and the Board is concerned that an orderly market in the shares must be maintained while these commercial discussions continue. Accordingly, the directors have requested an immediate suspension of dealings to enable negotiations to be progressed and an evaluation made as to whether a new viable business can be developed.

The Company is required under the AIM Rules for Companies to publish its audited accounts for the year ended 31 December 2015 no later than 30 June 2016.
