Period End Trading Update for the 17 months ending 31 December 2014
Sales for the 17 months ending 31 December 2014 were USD 82.5m, 10% ahead of the adjusted 17 month comparative*. Within this, North America grew 30%; Europe, Middle East and Africa grew 19%; Asia Pacific grew 11%; and Latin American sales were 20% lower after several years of strong growth.
Operating profits, before foreign exchange movements, are expected to exceed USD 4.80m, marginally ahead of the adjusted 17 month comparative. As indicated earlier, foreign exchange movements have affected the period's outturn, with a negative impact of approximately USD 0.60m, compared with a favourable movement of USD 0.15m.
The full results for the 17 months to 31 December 2014 are expected to be published on 26 February 2015 and comparative information for the 12 months to 31 July 2013 presented in USD will be published on the Group's website in January.
*Adjusted 17 month comparative - the sum of two reporting periods, being the 12 months to 31 July 2013 and 5/6ths of the 6 months to 31 January 2014.
