Trading Update
As part of its financial year end update, All Leisure group PLC ("the Group") (AIM: ALLG), the destination-led niche cruise operator wishes to announce a strong finish to the twelve months ending 31st October 2009. The recent tendency for cruise passengers to make later bookings has been highlighted by a number of cruise operators and the Group also experienced similar booking patterns throughout FY2008/09. This has resulted in stronger bookings and record load factors for the latter part of the summer season, although margins still remained under pressure. Changing booking patterns also resulted in aviation costs being slightly lower than expected. As a result the Group is pleased to announce that for the financial year ended 31st October 2009 it expects to modestly exceed expectations for group pre-tax, pre-derivative profits of c.GBP 4 million. The Group expects to announce preliminary results in early 2010.
In April this year the Group acquired the vessel m.v. Hebridean Princess. The ship operates out of Oban but finishes the current season at Tilbury on Monday 23rd November. From 24th November the vessel will be berthed in West India Dock, Canary Wharf for a few days and investors and analysts wishing to visit the ship should contact Kim McSkimming at Citigate Dewe Rogerson on 020 7282 1074 (kim.mcskimming@citigatedr.co.uk).
