Trading Update
The Board of Solid State plc (AIM: SSP), the AIM listed supplier of industrial/ruggedised computers, specialist electronic components and battery power solutions to the electronics market, is pleased to provide a pre close trading update ahead of the announcement of its full year results to 31 March 2012, which will be announced in the week commencing 18 June 2012.
Sales are expected to be in line with market expectations however pre tax profits are expected to be ahead of expectations due to the sales mix being weighted towards higher margin products in the last two months of the financial year. The pre tax profit for the year is now expected to be in the region of £1.6m. Order intake remains strong with the order book at 31 March 2012 standing at £10.5m.
The Board intends to continue its progressive dividend policy and will be recommending a final dividend in its preliminary announcement for approval at the Annual General Meeting.
