Trading update
Energy Assets Group plc (LSE: EAS.L), the largest independent provider of industrial and commercial (I&C) gas metering services in the UK[i] and provider of electricity metering and data services, today announces an update on trading ahead of its Annual Results to be announced on 9 June 2015.
Demand for the installation of advanced utility metering and related services remains high and, as a result, Energy Assets continues to experience strong trading and growth. Accordingly, based on unaudited management accounts, it is anticipated that the Group's trading for the twelve months ended 31 March 2015 will be in line with the Board's expectations.
As of 31 March 2015, the Group's owned and managed asset portfolio increased by 123% to circa 365,000 assets (2014: circa 163,500). The business outlook for 2015/16 remains positive with the extension of I&C metering, data collection and infrastructure services, across all utilities, providing further growth opportunities for the Group.
Chief Executive Phil Bellamy-Lee commented:
"I am delighted to report continued strong trading in what has been another successful year for Energy Assets and one which has encompassed good organic growth, major new contract wins and the successful integration of three new acquisitions into the Group."
