TRAVIS PERKINS TRADING UPDATE
Travis Perkins the leading UK builders' merchant, is today issuing a trading update ahead of entering its close period for the financial year ended December 31 2008.
Trading across both trade and retail divisions remains broadly in line with our view of the market contained in our Interim Management Statement released in October, reflecting the continuing difficult conditions in construction markets. Against this background the Board expects that pre exceptional earnings for the full year will be in line with market expectations.
The Group's announcement of its preliminary results is expected to be on February 19 2009.
