Further to the announcement made on 18 January 2010, the Company is delighted to confirm that production will restart at its Marropino mine in Mozambique on or around 25 April 2010. This will follow the previously announced three-stage process of re-processing the mine tailings; processing of previously mined oversize material which historically the plant has been unable to use to prove the process and adjust for maximum recovery; and finally processing of new material from the main ore body ('Run of Mine').

During the first two stages production will be at modest levels to ensure operational effectiveness. The third stage, using the Run Of Mine with the higher grade levels of tantalum, is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of this year. This phased approach will allow the Company to assess the economics, efficacy and efficiency of each stage of the operation to be developed in a controlled and measured way.

With the restart of Marropino within sights, the Company is currently working on a 3 year plan which it hopes to present to shareholders in the next three months. Various options are being considered, including but not limited to, the expansion of throughput capacity at the Marropino plant, mining of Mutala & Morrua and further exploration work.

Change of name of nominated adviser and broker

The Company's nominated adviser has changed its name from Blomfield Corporate Finance Limited to Religare Capital Markets (UK) Limited, and its broker has changed its name from Religare Hichens Harrison plc to Religare Capital Markets plc; both now trade as Religare Capital Markets.
