Core Business PLC (The)25 October 2006 PRESS RELEASEFor immediate release: 25 October 2006 Trading update The Core Business Plc, ('the Company') the innovative beauty brand business,announced today that it has increased its equity stake in premium sun care brandBlockhead and has gained the exclusive distribution right to market the productin the UK in the personal care sector. The Company has also strengthened itsteam with its first-ever Sales and Marketing Manager to broaden its range ofconsultancy projects. The Company's increased stake from 12.5 per cent to 17.5 per cent in BlockheadBrands Limited follows the launch of the premium sun care brand earlier thisyear. The range of sun creams was the best-selling brand on retail web sitewww.mankind.co.uk and is available at Gatwick airport. The Core Business willnow build on the brand's distribution in the UK through selected retaildistribution channels. Sales and Marketing Manager Laura Nickell has been appointed to assist in theexpansion of The Core Business's range of consultancy projects, to generatebusiness growth and manage the Blockhead brand. She joins The Core Business fromLancome where she was Visual Merchandising Manager responsible for marketing thecompany's skin care and fragrance ranges in High Street stores. She also held avariety of sales and marketing roles with Clarins, Boots and design agencyCheckland Kindleysides, where she worked with a range of High Street namesincluding Principles and George at Asda.
