Flying Brands Limited
Trading Update
On 20 April 2010 Flying Brands had to adjourn its AGM in Jersey as a result of travel disruption caused by volcanic ash. The Company is holding its rescheduled AGM today, commencing at 9.30am in Jersey.
At the AGM Flying Brands will provide the following update on current trading for the period since the announcement of its Interim Management Statement on 20 April.
Since our Interim Management Statement released on 20 April sales in our Garden Division have traded ahead of last year and we expect this trend to continue for what little remains of our bedding plants sales season. The value of orders taken in the year to date to 7 May 2010 in the Garden Division was £10.3m (£10.5m for the same period in 2009). Web orders for the Garden Division continued to improve and increased from £2.1m for the period 7 May 2009 to £2.6m for the same period this year, representing 24.9% of total orders (2009: 20.3%).
Our other divisions have traded in line with expectations.
