Sarantel Group PLC20 December 2005 Embargoed until 7:00 20 December 2005 Sarantel Group PLC ("Sarantel") Trading Update In September 2005, Sarantel announced a substantial order for the North Americansatellite radio market, with volume shipments expected to commence in the firsthalf of the Company's financial year beginning 1st October 2005. Sarantel has now been informed that the programme has been delayed for reasonsnot related to its antenna and new shipments dates are still to be confirmed. Itis unlikely that volume shipments will begin before the end of March 2006. The Company will produce antenna for stock during the next three months to meetthe demand from the satellite radio customer when it arises. As a consequence of the above, the Board expects first half revenues to bematerially below market expectations, but not less than those in the first halfof the prior year.
