betinternet.com PLC02 October 2006 For immediate release2 October 2006 BETINTERNET.COM PLC The Board of betinternet.com plc ("betinternet.com"), the global on-line gaminggroup, confirms that, following the passing of the Unlawful Internet GamblingEnforcement Bill in the United States last week, its exposure in the UnitedStates market is negligible with less than 0.2% of its active sportsbookcustomers last week being from this region. In light of the passing of thisBill, betinternet.com has decided to suspend the small number of active UnitedStates accounts and will continue to block the opening of any new accounts fromthe US. The regional focus of betinternet.com remains in the Far East, whereapproximately 60% of its current active clients are located. The board willcontinue to monitor developments and endeavour to establish how the Bill allowsfor financial transfers to be made to legal gaming activity, such as its pari-mutuel operation, European Wagering Services.
