In January 2011 the Group handled 0.57 million tons of grain.

Growth in general cargo turnover in January 2012 totaled 0.15 million tons or 22%. The growth was attributed to an increase of turnover in ferrous metals by 0.2 million tons (40%) and perishable goods by 29% (1.7 thousand tons) which offset the decline in timber handling (-27.4 thousand tons), non-ferrous metals (-22 thousand tons) and other cargoes (-6 thousand tones).

Deputy CEO for marketing and sales of PJSC NCSP Rado Antolovic commented:

"January results were significantly influenced by weather conditions in Novorossiysk. There were eight storm warnings with total duration of more than 12 days during the month. The last time that similar weather conditions were observed was in December 1997.

However, despite the unfavorable weather conditions, NCSP Group management team was able to achieve growth in cargo turnover of 6.9% versus the same period of last year".
