25 January 2007 SERVICEPOWER TECHNOLOGIES PLC ("SERVICEPOWER" OR THE "Company") Trading Update
ServicePower Technologies plc , the recognised leader in artificial intelligence based, field service scheduling solutions and computer services, provides the following trading update for the twelve months ended 31st December 2006.
As stated in the trading update in November, due to the uncertainty associated with the timing of software licence contracts, the Directors are determined to build profitable revenue streams from the hosting and outsourcing businesses. On this note, it is encouraging that, ahead of plan, the hosting and outsourcing businesses operated profitably during the month of December and are expected to do so throughout 2007.
However the closing of three extensions of software licences previously anticipated in 2006 has been delayed into 2007; one of which has already been signed in January.
Principally as a result of this, revenue reported for 2006 will be lower, but losses will be in line with, current broker forecast.
The cash position of the group is adequate for current operations, assuming current trading levels and forecasts.
