Lookers PLC20 April 2005 20 April 2005 LOOKERS PLC Details of Analyst / Investor Visit and Trading Update Lookers plc ("Lookers" or "the Group"), a leading UK motor retailer, announcesthat it is hosting a site visit for analysts and investors to some of itsoperations in the Birmingham region on 21 April 2005, including the Group'sVauxhall Brand Centre at Star Park South, the largest Vauxhall outlet in the UK.The trip will also include a visit to one of the Group's FPS Distributioncentres in Aston and will conclude with a visit to Land Rover UK in Solihull. The objectives of this visit are to provide attendees with a more detailedinsight into Lookers' Vauxhall operations in Birmingham, enhance theirunderstanding of the FPS Distribution business and provide them with anopportunity to meet members of the operational management team. Lookers can today confirm that the 'more encouraging' trend in tradingperformance in the first weeks of March, as stated at the Preliminary results(12 months ended 31 December 2004) announced on 21 March 2005, has continued. With regard to the appointment of Administrators to MG Rover, Lookers confirmsthat (as disclosed in its Preliminary results) it has already made a fullprovision in its 2004 accounts of £2.8 million to exit from its remaining fourMG Rover dealerships. During 2004 these four dealerships together lost £0.8million at the operating profit level. The Board is confident that no furtherprovisions will be required.
