The Board of APC expects revenues to be in the region of £4.7 million and netprofit before tax of £210,000, compared with £4.3 million in revenues and£208,000 of profit before tax during the same period ending February 2007. During the period operating margins were maintained but pre-tax profit reflectthe investments made in sales, marketing and operating systems as previouslyreported. The Company has now initiated cost reduction programmes that areanticipated to yield savings in operating costs of 7.5% during the second halfof the current financial year. This performance is considered to be a promising start to the current financialyear notwithstanding the prevailing difficult trading conditions beingexperienced in the electronics distribution sector over much of the last 12months. It is a further testimony of the Company's strategy to concentrate onits 'Design In' approach, following projects from initial design through toproduction, and providing customers and suppliers with an effective supportcapability.
