Total Voting Rights Update

Aberdeen Private Equity Fund Limited (the "Company") announces that, following the Issue of Equity announced on 28 March 2012 and the Transaction in Own Shares announced on 30 March 2012, the total voting rights in respect of the Company are now 109,343,199.

Accordingly, the current issued share capital consists of 109,343,199 Ordinary Shares with voting rights. Shareholders may use this figure as the denominator for the calculations by which they determine whether they are required to notify their interest, or a change to their interest, in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
