Transactions in Own Shares As stated in the circular to shareholders dated 14 August 2007, the Companypreviously sought to buy back the shares listed below between October 2005 andMarch 2007, but as a result of a technical infringement of the Companies Act1985, these purchases were invalid. The Company is therefore today announcingthe formal purchase and cancellation of these shares, at the prices set outbelow, to correct this position. The shares were purchased from the Company'sbrokers who originally purchased the shares on behalf of the Company. The priceper share set out in the table below is the market price which prevailed at thetime the Company originally sought to buy-back the relevant shares. The paymentsin respect of the original purported buy-backs have already been included in thecost of the share buy-backs in the Company's financial statements.
