AMEC plc (the "Company") - Total Voting Rights and Capital

In accordance with DTR5.6.1R, the Company notifies the market of the following:

As at the date of this announcement, the Company's issued share capital consists of 337,965,871 ordinary shares, of which 5,761,505 are registered as Treasury Shares, leaving a balance of 332,204,366 shares with voting rights.

The figure of 332,204,366 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or change to their interest in, AMEC plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
