Whitbread PLC21 February 2008 Whitbread PLC Voting Rights and Capital In conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6,Whitbread PLC is required to notify the market of the following: At the close of business on 20 February 2008, Whitbread PLC had 193,798,556ordinary shares in issue, of which 17,653,806 were held in Treasury. Thereforethe total number of voting rights in Whitbread PLC was 176,144,750. The ordinaryshares have a nominal value of 76 122/153p each.
