TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS
In conformity with Regulation 20 of the Transparency (Directive 2004/109/EC) Regulations 2007, United Drug plc announces that as at 30 September 2008:
The total number of Ordinary Shares of €0.05 each in issue as at the date of this notice is 232,521,191. Each Ordinary Share carries one vote. United Drug also holds 7,528,066 Ordinary Shares in treasury, which do not carry voting rights. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in United Drug is 232,521,191.
The above figure may be used by shareholders as a denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, United Drug under the Transparency (Directive 2004/109/EC) Regulations 2007.
