Alternative Networks plc ("Alternative Networks" or the "Company")
Voting Rights and Capital
In conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6 the Company notifies the market of the following:
As announced on 18 August 2008 Alternative Networks has, pursuant, to the general authority given to the Company by shareholders on 24 July 2008 bought back 31,300 ordinary shares at a price of 135 pence per share. These shares have been cancelled.
The Company's capital therefore now consists of 45,963,355 ordinary shares of 0.125p each. Alternative Networks holds 1,000,000 ordinary shares in Treasury.
Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Alternative Networks plc is 44,963,355.
The above figure 44,963,355 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Alternative Networks plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
