Drax Group PLC02 January 2008 2 January 2008 DRAX GROUP PLC ("Drax" or the "Company") (Symbol: DRX) TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS AND SHARE CAPITAL In conformity with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules provision 5.6.1R, Draxadvises the market of the following: That, as at 31 December 2007, the Company's issued share capital consisted of339,397,000 ordinary shares of 11 16/29 each with voting rights (the "VotingRights Figure"). As at 31 December 2007 and at the time of this announcement, no shares are heldin treasury by the Company. The reduction in the issued share capital and Voting Rights Figure is as adirect result of dealings through the introduction of the share buy backprogramme which was announced on 6 September 2007 and which completed on 13December 2007. The Voting Rights Figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for thecalculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify theirvoting rights interest, or a change to that interest, in the Company under theFSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
