Whitbread PLC22 January 2007 Whitbread PLC Voting Rights and Capital Further to the information provided in the announcement made on 19 December2006, and in conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision6, Whitbread PLC is required to notify the market of the following: At the close of business on 19 January 2007, Whitbread PLC had 197,486,819ordinary shares in issue, of which 761,816 ordinary shares were held inTreasury. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Whitbread PLC was196,725,003. The ordinary shares have a nominal value of 76 122/153p each.
