Total Voting Rights December 10, 2013 - Shire plc (LSE: SHP, NASDAQ: SHPG) (the "Company"), inaccordance with the Financial Conduct Authority's (the "FCA") Disclosure andTransparency Rule 5.6.1A R, notifies the market of the following: At close of business on December 9, 2013, the Company's issued ordinary sharecapital comprised 566,759,783 ordinary shares of 5 pence each with votingrights and a further 9,823,536 ordinary shares held in treasury. Therefore the total number of voting rights in the Company is 566,759,783.
