Admission of New Common Shares to trading on the London Stock Exchange
First Quantum Minerals Ltd (the "Company") is pleased to announce that 114,526,277 new common shares of no par value (the "New Common Shares"), are to be admitted to the standard segment of the Official List of the Financial Conduct Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's main market for listed securities under the ticker "FQM" at 8 a.m. on 1 April 2014.
Total voting rights
In accordance with the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, the Company makes the following disclosures with respect to the share capital and voting rights of the Company, as of the date of this announcement:
· it has 590,836,559 common shares of no par value (the "Common Shares") admitted to trading. Each Common Share carries the right to one vote in relation to all circumstances at general meetings of the Company;
· it does not hold any Common Shares in treasury; and
· accordingly, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 590,836,559.
The total voting rights figure (590,836,559) may be used by shareholders and others with notification obligations as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine whether they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
