BRIT Insurance Holdings PLC29 December 2006 29 December 2006 BRIT INSURANCE HOLDINGS PLC TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL Brit Insurance Holdings PLC ("Brit Insurance" or "the Group"), the UK-domiciledinternational general insurer and reinsurer today announces, for the purposes ofthe transitional provisions of the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure andTransparency Rules, that the total number of ordinary shares of 75p of BritInsurance in issue as at the date of this notification is 328,142,566, with eachshare carrying the right to one vote. There are no ordinary shares held in treasury. The total number of voting rights in Brit Insurance is therefore 328,142,566. The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for thecalculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify theirinterest in, or a change to their interest in, Brit Insurance under theDisclosure and Transparency Rules.
