TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS BLACKROCK ABSOLUTE RETURN STRATEGIES LTD ("the Company") Voting Rights and Capital
In conformity with the Transparency Directive we would like to notify the market that as of 20 July 2011 following the cancellation of 1,642,526 Sterling denominated Shares, 282,481 US Dollar denominated Shares and 251,789 Euro denominated Shares held in Treasury the Company's capital consists of the following:
- 1,672,269 Euro denominated shares of no par value with 1.3 voting rights per share - 685,386 US Dollar denominated shares of no par value with 1 voting right per share - 10,381,673 Sterling denominated shares of no par value with 1.5 voting rights per share
There are no shares held in treasury.
The total number of voting rights in the Company is 18,431,845.
The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculation by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Rules.
