National Grid PLC25 September 2007 25 September 2007 National Grid plc (National Grid) Voting Rights and Capital update National Grid was notified late yesterday that 3,850 shares held in Treasurywere transferred to share scheme participants. Following this change, NationalGrid plc's registered capital consisted of 2,614,676,656 ordinary shares, ofwhich 13,597,636 have been purchased in the market and registered as TreasuryShares; leaving a balance of 2,601,079,020 shares with voting rights. The figure of 2,601,079,020 may be used by shareholders as the denominator forthe calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notifytheir interest in, or a change to their interest in, National Grid plc under theFSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules. Note: This notification confirms actual capital as recorded on the register atthe above date, allowing for changes recorded since the last notification.National Grid is currently undertaking a share repurchase programme. Whererepurchases are made, separate covering announcements will, as required,identify numbers being repurchased and the supporting details indicate resultantshare capital after market settlement and cancellation, or transfer to Treasury,of the shares involved (and any earlier repurchases which remain to beregistered).
