Total Voting Rights: Month-end Disclosure

Cable & Wireless Communications Plc (the "Company") confirms that on 28 February 2011, its issued share capital consisted of 2,665,611,727 Ordinary Shares of US$0.05 nominal value with voting rights ("Ordinary Shares").

The Company holds 3,738,000 Ordinary Shares in treasury. This includes the Ordinary Shares purchased by the Company as announced on 24, 25 and 28 February 2011.

Therefore, as at 28 February 2011 the total number of voting rights in the Company is 2,661,873,727. Shareholders may use this figure as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules ("DTR").

This announcement is in conformity with DTR 5.6.1.
