Pennon Group PLC31 January 2008 PENNON GROUP PLC FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL In conformity with Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1(1), Pennon Group Plchereby notifies the market that at 31 January 2008, the issued share capital ofthe Company was 348,696,532 ordinary shares of nominal value 40.7p each withvoting rights. Therefore, currently the total number of voting rights in PennonGroup Plc is 348,696,532. This figure may be used by shareholders as thedenominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they arerequired to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, PennonGroup Plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
