Legal & General Group PLC01 February 2008 LEGAL & GENERAL GROUP Plc Total Voting Rights Legal & General Group Plc ("Group") announces, in compliance with itsobligations under Rules 5.6.1 and 5.6.2 of the Disclosure and TransparencyRules, that: As at 31 January 2008: • Group's capital consists of 6,211,796,386 Ordinary shares of 2.5p each, with voting rights. • Group does not hold any shares in Treasury. • Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Group is 6,211,796,386. Prior to the date of this announcement the Group purchased a further 9,741,288shares for cancellation which will cease to have voting rights in due course.
