Cable & Wireless PLC01 February 2008 Cable and Wireless plc Total Voting Rights: Month-end Disclosure Cable and Wireless plc ("the Company") confirms that on 31 January 2008, itsissued share capital consisted of 2,531,692,729 Ordinary Shares of 25p nominalvalue with voting rights ("Ordinary Shares"). The Company holds 45,665,878 Ordinary Shares in treasury. Therefore, as at 31 January 2008 the total number of voting rights in theCompany is 2,486,026,851. Shareholders may use this figure as the denominatorfor the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notifytheir interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FSA'sDisclosure and Transparency Rules ("DTR").
