Total Voting Rights September 2, 2013 - Shire plc (LSE: SHP, NASDAQ: SHPG) (the "Company"), inaccordance with the Financial Conduct Authority's (the "FCA") Disclosure andTransparency Rule 5.6.1R, notifies the market of the following: At close of business on August 31, 2013, the Company's issued ordinary sharecapital comprised 553,213,109 ordinary shares of 5 pence each with votingrights and a further 9,669,035 ordinary shares held in treasury. Therefore the total number of voting rights in the Company is 553,213,109.
