London, 1 May 2012: Ophir notifies the market that, following the issue of new ordinary shares as a result of the Company's Placing and the allotment of new ordinary shares on the exercise of warrants and share options during April, the Company's issued share capital as at close of business on 30 April 2012 was 397,796,529 ordinary shares of £0.0025 each. The Company does not hold any ordinary shares in treasury.

Therefore, as at 1 May 2012, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 397,796,529.

Shareholders may use this figure as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules ("DTR").
